Godrej S.M.A.R.T. BUSDUCT has been successfully tested for temperature rise and short circuit up to 100kA for 1.0 second for both Aluminium and Copper Busducts at Central Power Research Institute (CPRI). And also been successfully tested in the flame propagation test at CPRI.

S.M.A.R.T. BUSDUCT / rising main system are made of high quality "F" class extruded epoxy fire retardantinsulation and available with copper and aluminiumconductor. The design is compact and sandwiched with simple structure and easy joint systems. Godrej S.M.A.R.T. Busduct System has been established in the Indian markets since 2001 and is approved by the CRPI for 100kA short circuit rating and temperature rise test for both Aluminium and Copper conductors.

Godrej SMART Busduct System is totally enclosed, non-ventilated, and compact & sandwich type design available in both Copper from 400A to 6300A and in Aluminium bus duct system from 400A to 5000A, and can also be made available in both indoor and outdoor type also.

The important features of our Godrej S.M.A.R.T Busduct System are high quality of extruded "F" class epoxy insulation, maintenance free jointing system and compact sandwich construction to provide superior voltage drop characteristics even at low power factors.

High Quality Insulation

Godrej SMART Busduct System is insulated with "F" class epoxy coating by high tech extrusion machine – the epoxy material which is a non-hazardous material that makes the coatings maintenance free, fire resistant and self-extinguishing. Godrej S.M.A.R.T. Busduct System is maintenance free and after installation & connection, they can be used for a long time.


The housing is made from 1.6mm thick electro galvanized sheet and is painted inside out with epoxy powder coating. The housing also acts as 50% integral earthing.

Tap Off Points

The Godrej S.M.A.R.T. Bust Duct System can have as much as 5 Plug-in-holes per 3 meters on either side of the conductor for tap off boxes.

End Termination

End Termination between Godrej S.M.A.R.T. Busduct System and Transformer, DG Sets and Panels etc… is enabled with the aid of Copper or Aluminium braided or laminated flexible jumpers.


A whole lot of accessories like, Vertical, Horizontal, Offset elbows, Combination elbows; "T" elbows, Special angle elbows, reducers are available or can be manufactured to suit, the site requirements or constraints, and the busduct run.

The benefits of using busduct can be seen in many ways. For starters, costing and estimation of the quantities can be determined quickly and accurately.

The compact design allows for easy installation and in many cases, the equipment can be pre-assembled prior to delivery which is very much a time saver.

The fact is that the material cost of busduct trunking compared to cable is higher. But if the total cost of installation and labor along with time consumed are considered, the balance usually tips in favour of busduct trunking.
